4.30pm: Opening remarks followed by fun family game
7pm: Dinner (at own initiative)*
8pm: Campfire with vibrant Ugandan songs
9.30pm: Closure / departure

THURSDAY 28 DECEMBER
8am: Breakfast (at own initiative)*
9am: Briefing Kween village tour @ Home of Friends
9.30am: Departure for Kween village tour (don’t forget to pack your lunch / water)
10.00am: In the meantime, for the ‘homestayers’ @ Home of Friends: Treasure hunt for kids
10.30am: Start of the Kween village tour in Mengia including local myths and legends, honey wine making and a visit to the spectacular Mukuuso cave
1pm: Lunch (for Kween village tour participants included, for others at own initiative*)
4pm: Departure back to Home of Friends
7pm: Dinner (at own initiative)*
8pm: Scientific & cultural stars experience
9.30pm: Closure / departure
*These moments of breakfast, lunch and dinner are not included in the festival ticket price. Participants can choose to eat in town, cook for themselves or make a choice from the Home of Friends festival menu.
Friday 29 December
8am: Breakfast (at own initiative)*
9am: Honey & coffee demo
9.30am: Fun family aerobics
10.30am: Visit Cave Museum including indigenous games
1pm: Lunch (at own initiative)*
2pm: Family game of dodgeball or capture the flag
4pm: Fun drama act by the Sebei Cultural Storytellers including a plate of goat’s meat or chicken with salad and a soda
7pm: Dinner (Home of Friends team)
8pm: Campfire with stories or music upon request
9.30pm: Closure / departure
Saturday 30 December
7am: Kaptokwoi Kids Run / Walk
9am: Closing remarks and going home or to a next adventure in Kween, Sipi or Kapchorwa!

Festival ticket price
*120k per adult*
*25k per child*
NB: These ticket prices are for the full festival and all its activities. Please note only for the Kween village tour and fun drama act there is a meal included in this price. At other lunch and dinner moments we have a special deal for the young ones: a meal + drink @ 6k per child. The Home of Friends restaurant is also open throughout the whole festival for a la carte orders.
